Seeking a social media intern (ideally based in Chicago but not necessary)
Seeking an intern to assist an intersex activist and filmmaker in the creation of visual assets for the launch of an Intersex Resource Guide. Position is unpaid, but we want to work with your school to secure summer funding and college credit. Averaging 5-10 hours per week.
Most work will be remote, but the individual should be available for in-person meetings in Chicago (or Skype) as needed (no more than 1x/week for an hour or so).
The primary responsibility of this position will be to create engaging visual content to promote an Intersex Resource Guide on social media.
Responsibilities will include:
Create engaging social media content and assets inspired by the Intersex Resource Guide for use on all major social media platforms and web
Assist in creation of copy for the visual content produced
Current college student
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite apps preferred and/or Canva
Eager to translate research into accessible visual content
Interest in intersex and LGBTQIA+ resources and history
Precision and attention to detail
An ability to adhere to deadlines
Capacity to take initiative and solve problems independently as needed
Willingness to learn new skills
