Seeking a research intern (ideally based in Chicago but not necessary)
Seeking a research intern to help an intersex activist and filmmaker create an Intersex Resource Guide for intersex people, their families and loved ones. Position is unpaid, but open to working with your school to secure summer funding and college credit. Averaging 10-15 hours per week.
Most work will be remote, but the individual should be available for in-person meetings in Chicago (or Skype) as needed.
The primary responsibility of this position will be to create a resource list/annotated bibliography with intersex resources (e.g medical, legal, etc), media (film, books, art, etc.), and other helpful information from around the world.
Responsibilities will include:
Finding intersex resources from around the world
Creating an annotated bibliography that summarizes the resources found
Collaborating with Pidgeon and the social media intern in creating social media content based on the Intersex Resource Guide
Superb verbal and written communication skills
Strong research and writing background
Interest in intersex and LGBTQIA+ resources and history
Capacity to synthesize information in a clear, concise manner
An ability to take initiative and solve problems independently as needed
Willingness to learn new skills
Proficiency with Office suite and Google suite
